1. Information collected
The app does not ask you to create an account or give any personal information. Your progress, statistics, streak and settings are stored on your device only.
2. Ads and tracking
Wordfizz is free and shows ads through Google AdMob: one full-screen ad before a game starts, at most once every 15 minutes. The ads are rated G.
To show and measure ads, Google AdMob may collect and use information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address and device and app information. On iOS the app asks whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you allow it, ads may be matched to you; if you do not, you only see ads that are not personalized. You can change this at any time in the iOS Settings. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU and the UK) the app also asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice under Ad privacy options in Settings. See Google's explanation at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Purchases
Remove ads is a one-time purchase handled by Apple through the App Store; the developer never receives your payment details. The App Store tells the app whether you own the purchase, and that is stored on your device.
4. Notifications
If you switch on the daily reminder, the app asks for permission to send notifications. The reminder is scheduled on your device; no information is sent to the developer.
5. Data sent externally
Your progress and gameplay data are not sent to the developer or to any other third party. The only network traffic is the ad service described above, the App Store for the purchase, and the contact form if you open it.
6. Children
Wordfizz is a game for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Ads are limited to the G rating.
7. Data deletion
Reset progress in Settings clears your puzzles, statistics and streaks. Uninstalling the app removes everything the app has stored on your device.
8. The contact form and this website
The Contact us entry in Settings opens this support site's contact form inside the app. This support site is hosted via Firebase Hosting (Google). IP addresses and other access information may be processed by the hosting provider as part of normal web delivery. The app itself and the support website's Contact form are separate. When you submit the form, the inquiry message, any optional email address you provide, an identifier for the app, and the submission time are handled to respond to inquiries, feedback and bug reports, including any necessary reply.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when the app's features change. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect any revision.
